The world's second largest cryptocurrency, Ethernet, has reached a record high, and the rise of digital assets has spread beyond bitcoin.
Ethereum's digital currency rose 6.2% on Friday, reaching a high of $2144 on Saturday. It nearly tripled this year and broke through $2000 for the first time in February. The Bloomberg Galaxy crypto index rose about 3% on Friday, with bitcoin barely changing after more than doubling this year.
Cryptocurrency exchange CEX.IO Konstantin anissimov, executive director of visa Inc., said the latest support from visa Inc. seemed to provide new reasons for bulls to move on. He said the trend could make the digital currency break through $2100 in the next few days.
Visa said last week that its payment network will use USD coin (usdc) issued by Ethereum to settle its transactions, which will help boost market sentiment. In addition, Greg Waisman, co-founder and chief operating officer of mercuryo, a global payment network, said that in addition to the continuous upgrading of the network, the comments made by Mark Cuban, a billionaire entrepreneur, on his holding of the digital asset (closest to a real currency) also increased people's interest.
